The Best Photo to Use for Your Ceiling Crawl AI Video

When you're generating a ceiling trend video with AI, the single biggest factor in how good the result looks isn't the AI model — it's the photo you start with. Here's what actually makes a difference.

Full body, clearly visible

Since the sequence involves your whole body moving — reaching up, hanging, sitting, landing — the AI needs to see your full body in the source photo, not just a headshot or a waist-up selfie. Stand where your camera can capture you head to toe.

One person in frame

Photos with other people, pets, or anyone else partially in frame can confuse the generation. Use a photo where you're the only person visible.

Good, even lighting

A clearly lit photo — daylight from a window or bright indoor lighting — gives the AI a much cleaner source to work from than a dark or backlit shot. See our full lighting guide for more detail.

A normal, unobstructed pose

Standing naturally, facing roughly toward the camera, works best. Avoid photos where your arms or face are partially blocked by an object, a bag, or another person's arm.

Skip heavy filters and crops

Beauty filters, aggressive color grading, and tight crops can all remove detail the AI needs to preserve your actual appearance accurately throughout the video. A natural, unedited photo produces a more accurate result.

The room matters too

Since the AI keeps your real background and ceiling throughout the clip, a room with a plain, visible ceiling and reasonably tidy surroundings will generally look cleaner in the final video than a very cluttered or dimly lit space.
